About the Weaver Library
The Weaver Library supports the information needs of the Great Falls College MSU community and provides both in-person and online support for students, faculty, and staff. The Weaver Library can be found in A110, located in the Atrium on the north end of the building. For current library hours and closures, please visit the Weaver Library website.
The Weaver Library's physical and online collections support all curricular areas at Great Falls College MSU. The physical collection includes books, reference materials, and videos, which can be searched in the library’s online catalog. The Weaver Library also provides access to over 100 online databases containing abstracts, full-text journal articles, reference materials, newspapers, e-books, videos, and other types of media, which can be accessed from the Weaver Library website. Current students, faculty, and staff can access databases off-campus by signing in with their NetID and password.
If you need assistance with research for projects or assignments, you can schedule a one-on-one research consultation with the librarian by emailing the Weaver Library at email@example.com. You can also stop by the library for on-the-spot research help.
There is also a collection of research guides available online, accessed from the library website.
The Weaver Library has several study spaces available, including traditional study tables, carrels, and a computer lab with 21 computers and printing stations reserved for student use.
There are also three group study rooms available for students to reserve for two hours at a time. Each study room has a whiteboard, and we have one room with a media collaboration table. You can stop by the library to check out a room or contact us in advance to reserve a room for a later time.
If you are looking for a dedicated quiet space to study, the quiet study room (A124) is also an option and has whiteboards and a white noise machine available to students.
The Weaver Library has a collection of laptops, wireless hotspots, and Chromebooks available for students to check out each block. See staff at the circulation desk to borrow technology items.
All currently enrolled students receive a $30 printing credit each semester for printing in the library. If you run out of printing money before the semester is over, you can add more to your account by bringing in cash or a check.
The Weaver Library offers interlibrary loan services for current students, faculty, and staff. More information can be found on the Interlibrary Loan and TRAILS Resource Sharing page on the library website.
