About the Weaver Library
The Weaver Library provides services and materials to support and improve instruction and learning for the Great Falls College campus. The library provides both in-person and online support for students, faculty, and staff. The Weaver Library can be found in the Missouri River Wing, located off of the Atrium on the north end of the building. Collections
The Weaver Library's physical and online collections support the course work of associate degree programs and certificate programs offered at Great Falls College, with a secondary purpose of supporting sustained independent study and intellectual inquiry. The physical collection includes books, reference materials, anatomical models, calculators, technology accessories, and more. The Weaver Library also provides access to over 100 online databases containing abstracts, full-text journal articles, reference materials, newspapers, e-books, videos, and other types of media, which can be accessed from the Weaver Library website. Current students, faculty, and staff can access databases off-campus by signing in with their NetID and password. Books and electronic materials can be searched in the library’s online catalog.
Weaver Library also maintains a small leisure reading collection and participates in the MontanaLibrary2GoeBook and Audiobook collection. These resources are designed to support the leisurely enrichment of Great Falls College students, faculty, and staff.
Students, faculty, and staff may request items not owned by Weaver Library via interlibrary loan. More information can be found on the Interlibrary Loan and TRAILS Resource Sharing page.
Research Services
Weaver Library provides direct assistance with research for projects and assignments. current students, faculty, and staff can schedule an appointment with a librarian for research help or stop by the library for drop-in research help (subject to librarian availability).
Weaver Library also provides collection of research guides covering topics like citations, annotated bibliographies, library research, and more available 24/7 online, accessed from the library website.
Other Services
The library offers a range of seating and study options, including two group study rooms (available first-come-first-served), traditional seating, study nooks, and a small computer lab for student use.
Additionally, all currently enrolled students receive a $30 printing credit each semester (16 weeks) for printing in the library. If you run out of printing credit before the semester is over, you can add more to your account by bringing in cash (card payments are accepted in student accounts). Printing credit is not redeemable for cash value.
